Today Fay was looking up at a picture of Jesus that we have. I suddenly became super grateful for the LDS Children's song book. The songs in that book teach simple truths about Christ's life and His teachings. I started singing 'I Lived in Heaven' to the girls and I felt peace. I felt a wonderful reassurance that Heavenly Father has a plan for my family and I. He knows our needs and our desires. He has given us wonderful resources to help teach our children and we are not alone.
"I lived in heaven a long time ago, it is true. "

Today
So my attempt at blogging once a week was an epic fail. :( boo. But alas, here I am with a post for you today! I was thinking to myself (like I often do) that it's the cute everyday things that I want to remember about my girls. The milestones are amazing, of coarse, but a little less easy to forget. So here's a blog about ... today.
Josh left early early this morning to an unfortunate funeral. So it's just been the girls and I and Emma for a little bit today. Fay had a nice nap on the couch and Eden had a nice nap snuggled up with her mama. In those quiet peaceful moments (yes, I am blessed with a few of those) I sit in awe and feel so blessed and am overwhelmed with gratitude. Being a mother is the thing in life that I know I have always wanted. (Here I go with the deep corny stuff again) I love it. Sure there are times of discouragement and frustration but the happy little moments far out weigh the others. I read this article not too long ago, called Don't Carpe Diem.

To sum it up, the lady basically says that you don't have to love every single moment of parenting. Let's face it, there's nothing to love about changing a stinky diaper. But it's those moment of feeling that pure joy, that feeling is the one you'll love and remember.
Today. Today Fay somehow managed to get her pants of all by herself. She looked pretty proud about it too! The girls love the piano. I heard a little plink plink, and there was Eden reaching up at the piano plunking away rather gracefully.
It's interesting how in sync they have been lately. At some moment while playing with their toys they will both at the same time crawl to their dad or crawl to me. It's kinda tricky when they both want me for the same reason (that being to solve their hunger needs) but we make it work ;)
Needless to say I'm loving life. Loving my little girls and loving my husband who is incredible btw.
I'm thankful for today.

10
February 28th marks Fay and Eden's 10 month birthday! I don't know where the time has gone (so cliché, I know, but so true).
This past Sunday, Eden said her first word (apart from 'mama' and 'dada'). She said 'bye' 'bye bue' and she waved when she said it too. I think she was pretty proud of herself. I know Josh and I sure were. We were looking at our smiley little chickelettes and we were beaming from ear to ear. I'm trying not to sound corny, but there's no words to describe the amount of joy and pride and love that we feel for our daughters. There's not a feeling in the world quite like it. They mean everything to us.
Stay tuned for some big news! I've been patiently waiting to spill the beans on this one, but I need to wait just a tad longer, til all our ducks are in a row. Some of you have probably heard already (and no I am NOT pregnant again) ...stay tuned!

Ah, back so soon? Just forgot to mention a couple of pretty big things...
Fay has been sleeping in her own bed for about 3 weeks now! And all night long! This is a rather big deal, as the girls have been sleeping in our room for the past 9 months..aha.. I love holding my babies all the time and this has caused the chickelettes to be used to falling asleep only by cuddles and by nursing. Eden is getting worse i think. She wakes up the moment she's put down. Sigh. We'll be sleep training her soon.

Operation Exporation
Commitment: a pledge or promise; obligation:
Today i am committing to writing on my blog more often. Once a week. Yes, that's what i said. Once a week. Let's see how i do, shall we?
Well our darling chickellettes are just over 9 months old now. Getting so big. It's crazy. It is so fun to watch them learn new things and explore. They are both crawling like pros and stand up while holding on furniture or the wall or us or anything stationary. Eden started the teething process and Fay followed shortly after, they both have 2 bottom teeth. They like to explore in the kitchen, under the dishwasher, between the bar stools, and over to the stairs. Thankfully Josh made us a stair gate. Everything goes to their mouth...magnets, rocks, dust bunnies, keeping a clean house is not my forte, unfortunately, but i'm working on it.
Fay has been doing the most adorable little thing ever! Josh will get on his hands and knees and say, "i'm gunna get cha!" and little Fay just laughs and laughs and crawls away as fast as she can- soooo cute! Eden is still making some hilarious noises, her dolphin sounds and her dinosaur sounds. These little angels melt my heart every day, i can't thank Heavenly Father enough for sending them to us. We feel sooooo blessed and are enjoying being parents- it is SO rewarding.

8 months
Fayleah and Eden are 8 months old today! It's so hard to believe! They are as beautiful and as darling as ever. Fay had been so close to crawling for a while now and as of Christmas Eve day, she now crawls. She also enjoys turning the page while I read her a book. She's such a smiley little thing :) Eden is getting more mobile, she can crawl backwards. She can also clap! They had a blast Christmas morning with the paper, ribbon and bows. They got lots of nice things from everyone.
I love these little girls, it's so indescribable. It is the most rewarding feeling in the world. <3<3

Sleep and Bugs
No, we don't have bed bugs. ha.
SLEEP...
What's that again? haha just kidding.. i'm getting just enough. Josh has been sleeping upstairs lately, as his labour-intensive job requires an awake labourer... so that sucks. I really look forward to the weekends when he joins the girls and i downstairs. The girls have been pretty good sleepers i'd say. We usually get the to bed at about 11 and they're usually up around 3 and 6. Then they'll be up every hour or so from 6 to 11am... then we get up and have our TV routine. SAD i know. But we are beginning to break away from the TV and venture upstairs and even outside sometimes. I'm not even going to mention all the tv shows that the girls and i watch because it's pretty lame that i have it all memorized. Sleep... it's over-rated anyways right? JK
BUGS...
Ok so i'm sure you're wondering what the bugs are about. Thanks to some generous gift cards, we purchased a new swing for the girls. There are 2 little bigs on a mobile type thing above the swing and the girls LOVE these bugs!!! Seriously! It is the cutest thing ever to watch them swingin' away, smiling up at the bugs. Adorable. Simply adorable.
LATELY...
So aside from sleep and bugs... some other things happening worthy of mentioning i'd say would be that Josh and i planted flowers! Yuppers! we had a small eye-sore in front of our house and now we don't. Josh painted the concrete, laid the soil and i planted flowers. Wonderbar.
Also James (my big brother) is engaged! His fiancee is Allison East from California- excited to meet her! so needless to say we will be making a trip to Cali in August. The 4 of us will be flying - Thank goodness!
GROWING...
The girls are growing. I wish they would stop :( They're almost 10 weeks old! Time flies.. but at the same time it seems like i've had these chicklettes forever. <3 Fay and Eden both have incredibly cute smiles! Seriously, adorable! /they've been having some gassy tummy troubles lately. sadface. They have many different types of cries.. i've learned that the 'ngah' cry means 'i'm gassy'. i think that they're 'nee' cry means that they're cold or uncomfortable. Thanks to the dunstan baby language i've learned that 'nah' means that they're hungry. Knowing this has helped me realize that i need to work on their gassy issues by pumping their legs or whatever when they do the gassy cry and not feed them all day long. They have these really cute little wimper cries that are heart-melting. It's just a short little cry and it's usually just out of the blue.
They are getting their baby blessings this Sunday and we are having a BBQ afterwards. We are looking forward to that. :) will post pics soon...
