Today

So my attempt at blogging once a week was an epic fail. :( boo. But alas, here I am with a post for you today! I was thinking to myself (like I often do) that it's the cute everyday things that I want to remember about my girls. The milestones are amazing, of coarse, but a little less easy to forget. So here's a blog about ... today.
Josh left early early this morning to an unfortunate funeral. So it's just been the girls and I and Emma for a little bit today. Fay had a nice nap on the couch and Eden had a nice nap snuggled up with her mama. In those quiet peaceful moments (yes, I am blessed with a few of those) I sit in awe and feel so blessed and am overwhelmed with gratitude. Being a mother is the thing in life that I know I have always wanted. (Here I go with the deep corny stuff again) I love it. Sure there are times of discouragement and frustration but the happy little moments far out weigh the others. I read this article not too long ago, called Don't Carpe Diem.

To sum it up, the lady basically says that you don't have to love every single moment of parenting. Let's face it, there's nothing to love about changing a stinky diaper. But it's those moment of feeling that pure joy, that feeling is the one you'll love and remember.
Today. Today Fay somehow managed to get her pants of all by herself. She looked pretty proud about it too! The girls love the piano. I heard a little plink plink, and there was Eden reaching up at the piano plunking away rather gracefully.
It's interesting how in sync they have been lately. At some moment while playing with their toys they will both at the same time crawl to their dad or crawl to me. It's kinda tricky when they both want me for the same reason (that being to solve their hunger needs) but we make it work ;)
Needless to say I'm loving life. Loving my little girls and loving my husband who is incredible btw.
I'm thankful for today.
